Terms and Conditions
Please review our terms and conditions. Use of this site will indicate your agreement with our policies. Simply Baby and Kids reserves the right to add or change our policies, terms, and conditions at any time. Please use this website at your own risk. SBK does not guarantee that our stores, servers, or email sent from or through us or our stores are free from viruses or other injurious elements. SBK makes no representations or warranties, expressed or implied, as to the info, content materials, or products included in our store or web catalog. Price and availability information is subject to change without notice. All orders are subject to acceptance, verification and confirmation by SBK. SBK will not be liable for any damage of any kind arising from the use of our store. We reserve the right to terminate accounts, refuse service, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our sole discretion. SBK may modify or terminate these Terms and Conditions of Use at any time and may do so immediately without notice or cause.
Shipping
For standard sized items, you have a choice of UPS Ground or UPS 2nd Day Air. Our shipping and delivery days are Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. Ground shipments should arrive, but are not guaranteed, within 10 business days. As we are a specialty store, please allow additional time for special ordered items. These items will have an estimated delivery timeframe which will be e-mailed to the customer, so please supply a working e-mail address. UPS tracking codes for items shipped are available upon request. If additional fees apply, you will be notified via phone or email on receipt of order. Choose U.S. Mail for shipping on gift certificates. Furniture cannot be shipped via UPS or the U.S. Postal Service.
For your convenience, within Connecticut and parts of New York, we also offer SBK's local delivery for furniture and other oversized items. The charge range is generally $150-$250 to be determined by delivery address and number of pieces to be delivered. Non-local furniture delivery charges will vary depending on delivery address and number of pieces to be delivered. A price quote, initiated by a third party trucking company, will be e-mailed to the customer and the order will be placed on hold until the quote has been approved by the customer. SBK takes no responsibility for items damaged by a third party trucking company, but will assist the customer by taking charge of the claims process and ordering necessary replacements.
If you would like to have your order available for pick up at the store, you can select "Hold for in store pick up" as your shipping method for no charge in the shopping cart. If defects, damage, or other problems are discovered regarding products that have been picked up (this includes furniture), it is the responsibility of the customer to return the item to the store.
OUT OF STOCK
Our high priority is to keep items in stock for immediate shipping. Discontinued items will be removed from our site even if they are in stock at our store. Inventories can fluctuate quickly and many of the items on our website have to be special ordered. In the event an item you have ordered is out of stock at the time your order is processed, you will be notified via e-mail and/or phone. You will only be charged for items that are in-stock. Out of stock items can be backordered or cancelled per your request. For your convenience, we will ship in stock items immediately and will NOT charge additional shipping costs when backordered items are shipped at a later date
Simply Rewards
"Simply Rewards" is a program we designed to express appreciation to our loyal customers. The more you shop with us, the more points you collect. Periodically, you will receive checks for "Simply Baby Bucks" redeemable on future purchases (not valid on past purchases). Advance levels to receive free gift wrap, free shipping and bonus gifts. Also, by joining Simply Rewards, you will be notified of private sales, new products, and receive e-coupons. No adjustments will be made to prior sales.
Rewards points accumulated by existing customers can be applied to internet purchases, but the customer must indicate their wish to do so in the order notes.
Reward bucks can not be redeemed for cash, nor can they be applied to gift certificate purchases. Void where prohibited. SBK may modify or terminate this program at any time and may do so without notice.
Special Orders
Special order items may or may not be in stock. If in stock, it will be available to ship out or be picked up right away. If out of stock, we will place the order to the company. In this case, please allow anywhere from 2-16 weeks depending on product and manufacturer (small items tend to take less time whereas items such as furniture tend to take longer). SBK will narrow the timeframe when possible by checking with the manufacturer on product availability and by notifying the customer via e-mail or phone.
When deciding on placing an order, you can contact us to see if an item is in stock, via email or by phone (toll-free 1-866-452-9850). When placing an order, the item(s) will be delivered to our store first and can either be shipped out to the customer, or will be available for immediate pick- up. In the case where a special order needs to be returned, most cases will require a 25% restocking fee.
Gift Wrapping
SBK offers several different gift wrapping options on all our smaller sized products. As a general rule of thumb, this includes all items capable of fitting inside a small to medium sized shirt box. Larger items cannot and will not be gift wrapped. If gift wrap is selected at check out for an item or items that cannot be gift wrapped, the gift wrapping fee will be removed and the product(s) will be shipped as is. SBK is not responsible for any tears, fingerprints, smudges, or other imperfections to the gift wrap suffered during transit. We try to keep our gift wrap options up to date on our website, but patterns and style are subject to change. In general, SBK keeps boy baby, girl baby, and neutral baby gift wrap in stock. If a selected gift wrap style or pattern is out of stock, SBK reserves the right to substitute the similar gender style or a neutral wrap. Order notes can be made to include a special note, but gift enclosure cards must be purchased separately. All notes are handwritten exactly as they appear in the order notes, so check your spelling. SBK employs experts in the baby and youth products field, not artists. Please do not complain about our handwriting.
Privacy
SBK uses our customer database for the sole purpose of rewarding frequent shoppers. We do not sell information to any third party under any circumstances or for any reason. Our shopping cart, including credit card information, is secure. If you wish to be removed from our mailing list at any time please contact us via phone, fax, mail or email.
Return Policy
SBK will gladly issue a refund if you return most unused items (exceptions are listed below) in their original condition within 30 days of purchase. If paid for by credit card, the customer will have to supply the same credit card used at time of purchase to receive a refund. After 30 days of purchase, you may still return most unused items in their original condition for a store credit. Refunds and store credits exclude any promotional discounts, shipping costs and gift wrap charges. Items can also be exchanged for alternate color or size (except on special orders). If you received a gift and would like to return it, we'll issue you a store credit toward your next purchase. Note, the processing of returns can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks when shipped to us. Returns or exchanges can also be made in person at our store (location below). SBK reserves the right to refuse returns or exchanges if the product is no longer in its original packaging or appears to have been misused according to its intended use.
Non-Returnable items include:
- Monogrammed or personalized items
- Beauty and Hygiene products such as breast pumps, lotions, soaps, baby bottles, nursing bras, etc.
Special Order Items:
Special ordered items may be returned for store credit, but may also be subject to a 25% or greater manufacturer's restocking fee depending on the item and manufacturer.

Our Connecticut store has been on Main Street in Monroe since 1992. After expanding several times, it has grown to be an 8,000 square foot children's boutique. If you live in Connecticut, please stop by. We will do everything we can to make it worth your trip.
